EU Responsible Person: what it is and what it costs
An EU Responsible Person is the company established in the EU that is responsible for your product under Article 16 of the General Product Safety Regulation. It is named on the packaging, keeps your documentation available to the authorities and answers them. Public prices run from under €200 to around €500 a year; what matters is what the fee covers.

What products are exempt from GPSR?
GPSR does not apply to medicinal products, food, feed, living plants and animals, animal by-products, plant protection products, certain passenger equipment operated by transport services, certain aircraft, and antiques (Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) 2023/988). Products not meant for consumers are outside it too. Almost everything else sold to EU consumers is covered — new, used or refurbished.
